Umit Gokce, President / Co-Founder

Umit Gokce is a veteran technology based educator and entrepreneur as well as a lifelong amateur sports competitor, youth coach and fitness enthusiast. Umit has worked in interactive media and eLearning for 19 years. He was President of UBG Digital Media, a Seattle area interactive agency he started in Chicago in 1995, and Co-Founder and CEO of MedModule, an integrator of proprietary multimedia technology and expert medical information founded in 2000. He served from 1993 to 1999 as Vice President of UBG International Inc, a wireless company operating in Europe. Prior to that, Umit was President of UBG Communications, an early pioneer of interactive multimedia based in Chicago.

Umit has been an advisor to the University of Washington’s Business School since 2001 and is involved in the development of community sports programs as Founder/Executive Director of both the Highlands Youth Soccer Club and Fitathlon competitive events. He previously served as Board Chairman of the Around-n-Over educational foundation/global expedition and was Executive Director of XYZ & You, a 4,000+ member computer graphics user group based in the Pacific Northwest. Umit is a certified personal trainer and member of the American College of Sports Medicine.

Mark Haye / Co-Founder

Mark Haye has over 30 years of experience in the fitness industry as a club owner, operator, developer and consultant. He introduced first-ever innovations including media centers and sports medicine clinics within health clubs. Mark was one of five athletic club owners, together with the Washington State Attorney General’s Office, to write and pass the laws governing Washington’s fitness industry.

Currently a partner in a Seattle area athletic club he opened and operated for 10 years, Mark has served as general manager or management consultant to more than 10 health clubs. Mark also has varied experience as a firefighter, EMT, technical rescue team member, Court Appointed Special Advocate, mentor for the King County Court System, and 10 years as a volunteer police officer.

Within the club environment, Mark has seen fitness change and even save lives. He has always felt that fitness is there to support our personal interests and facilitate anything we would want to do. With 360 In Balance, Mark wants to make mainstream fitness more results driven and comprehensive to include nutrition, energy balance, flexibility and proper rest.

Dan Newton, VP Operations / Co-Founder

Dan Newton has been a fitness industry professional for over 8 years. Most recently, he has opened and operated Golds Gym facilities in the Pacific Northwest as General Manager. In his native home of Australia, Dan held the positions of Sales Manager, General Manager and District Manager for the world’s largest private health club chain, Fitness First. Dan began his health club career with the Cannons Health Club Group in London, UK where he was the Assistant General Manager and Personal Training Manager.

Coming from a personal training background, he has always kept a close association with prescribing health and fitness solutions to countless clients. Previously, Dan opened and operated The Gym, a private personal training studio in Sydney, Australia.

Dan graduated from ACU University in Australia with a degree in Exercise Science. He is a competitive endurance athlete with a current focus on the Ironman triathlon. Dan takes goal setting very seriously, believes people should always start with the outcome in mind, and feels exercise should be enjoyable. With 360 In Balance, Dan is very pleased to be developing wellness and fitness solutions empowering individuals with a lifelong sense of health and wellbeing.
